Robb Scott - CEO
A proven project leader and director with a passion for delivery, Robb combines a first class business leadership track record with a background as a successful sportsman in international rugby. As a result, he has a highly compelling personal style which has seen him successfully lead and deliver large and complex business transformation programmes nationally and internationally.
Experience
Robb has carried out CEO and Programme Director roles on multi-million pound deals and projects for a range of national and international organisations in the healthcare, defence, energy, public/private, PFI and telco sectors.
Highlights include
- building and delivering the business plan, operating model and transition strategy for a JV between two major telcos to consolidate radio access networks into one optimised UK network, realising substantial capex and opex savings of over £1bn;
- creating a £100million increase in revenue for British Nuclear Group (BNFL plc) through masterminding a major business process re-engineering programme;
- achieving £4.5m savings on contractor, agency costs and 16% reduction of indirect costs through the restructuring of a projects division for Thales Group (Thales Telecom);
- launching 186K as a £500million start up venture on behalf of owners and investor Lattice Group (Transco) to build a state-of-the-art UK national Internet Protocol network. Robb led and successfully delivered the start up and the ‘Go Live’ launch of the business within 12 months delivering all the critical milestones to meet all funding dates.
Working style
“I can see where my sporting background at team and international level plays out in business. How you pick and build a team – supporting strengths, playing the relative weaknesses in a way that still delivers a strong result – that’s all now second nature to me.”
A professional Scottish International Rugby player until 1996, Robb still undertakes some local rugby coaching, as well as being an avid skier and photographer.
